Ronald McDonald House Iowa City seeks donations during kitchen remodel

Since its opening in 1985, the Ronald McDonald House of Iowa Town has provided families a location to remain though their kid is getting health-related treatment at neighborhood medical center.

Now, the Ronald McDonald House is looking for the community’s support as its kitchen area is remodeled in the coming months.

Shannon Greene, government director at Ronald McDonald Household Charities of Japanese Iowa & Western Illinois, reported the kitchen rework comes just after the organization understood the residence required an update.

The business has spent the last two years on a “head-to-toe refresh,” operating on the visitor rooms, common regions, flooring, painting and offices.

“Now we are to the significant component, which is kind of the coronary heart of the home, and that is our kitchen area,” Greene reported. “We know it really is time to modernize it a bit and make it extra successful.”
