After 56 years in landscaping, 88-year-old keeps own dream garden

For 56 years, Bud Wiggins landscaped qualities at Milwaukee-space homes and corporations as the operator of Wiggins Landscape Contractors.

He installed hundreds of concrete or asphalt driveways, laid attractive brick walkways and patios, constructed retaining partitions and berms, and planted flowers, shrubs and trees. He even dabbled in holiday decorations.

He worked in each element of his trade and utilized everywhere from 40 to far more than 70 staff. 

But he by no means utilised his business enterprise to landscape his possess dwelling. 

In its place, he retired 17 yrs ago, dissolved his business, and auctioned off his machines.

Bud Wiggins created a low-maintenance garden at his Menomonee Falls home, as seen June 15. The former landscaper uses rocks, berms and plants to provide privacy at his home.
